Code of Conduct
- To be assigned a court, members must register with the monitor on duty.
- Shoe tag must be visible, otherwise you can be refused play.
- Only proper tennis attire (including proper tennis shoes) will be allowed on the courts (jeans, cut-offs and tank tops will not be permitted). Proper tennis shoes must be worn.
- Members must use the court walkways, gates and clubhouse for quick and quiet access to the courts.
- Proper shoes are essential when using the clay courts. Use the "Tennie Two Step" to remove clay from your shoes each time after playing on the clay courts.
- A maximum of 4 players are allowed on the court at one time. Spectators are not permitted on the court.
- The following are not permitted in the club facilities:
- Abusive language or behaviour
- Spitting on the courts
- Alcoholic beverages
- Animals of any kind
- Skateboards, scooters or roller blades
- Cellular phones are not to be used on the courts
- Have fun and enjoy your game - remember tennis etiquette!
- Talk quietly when standing near tennis courts in use.
- To retrieve a ball from another court, wait until the players have completed a point to ask them to return it to you. To return a ball to another court, wait for a break in play on their court or roll the ball to the back of their court.
- Be respectful of others.

Court Rules
Adult Priority Times:
Adults have priority Monday to Thursday, 7 to 11 p.m.
- SINGLES will get 45 minutes.
- DOUBLES will get 1 hour.
Notes:
- Adults who have already had court time do NOT have priority over waiting families or adults.
- Once a family is assigned to a court, they are entitled to their playing time.
- Adults who have already had court time still have priority over waiting juniors.
- Juniors on court must relinquish court at 7 p.m.
Junior Priority Times:
(Under 18 years old as of December 31 of the prior year)
Juniors have priority Monday to Thursday, 4 to 7 p.m.
Juniors have priority Saturday, 9 a.m. to 12 Noon
Note: Juniors who have already had court time still have priority over waiting adults.
Equal Priority Times:
Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 12 Noon to 11 p.m.
Holidays, 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Public Hours:
Saturday (1 court only), 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Ball Machine/Hopper Use:
- Ball machine/hoppers may only be used when there is a free court and during NON Priority Times.
- Ball machine/hopper use is restricted to courts 8 and 9 only or a court that has no one on the adjoining court.
- Pros may use hoppers during all lessons.
- Ball machine rental is $5.00 per session.
Guest Policy
Members may introduce any number of guests (Guest fee is $5.00) during non-priority times only, i.e. guests are not permitted Monday-Thursday 7p.m.-11p.m. All guests must complete and sign the Guest Waiver / Release Form prior to playing tennis. An individual is only eligible to be a guest 3 times in total in a given season, even if introduced by different members. After 3 visits, the guest must pay a membership fee to continue playing at UTC.
